Tyramine rises as food ages, ferments, or spoils — freshness and storage matter as much as the food itself. Eat fresh, refrigerate promptly, and avoid anything aged, cured, fermented, or past its best. Moclobemide is more selective and less restrictive, but follow your prescriber.
