Which medications does the checker cover?

197 medications: every swallowed or injected medicine on the NHS Medicines A to Z that has something to say about food or drink, plus groups such as GLP-1s (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro), MAOIs, statins and DOACs. Creams, drops and inhalers are left out.

Is this medical advice?

No. It summarises widely published UK guidance for general information. It cannot account for your dose, kidney function, other medicines, or conditions — always follow your prescriber, pharmacist, and the patient information leaflet.

A food I searched is not listed — does that mean it is safe?

No. We list foods and drinks the sources name, plus every food that shares the same root cause (grapefruit and its relatives, vitamin K, tyramine, calcium, alcohol and more). If a food is not listed, treat it as unverified and check with your pharmacist.

Where does the data come from?

Answers come from NHS medicine pages and, where they add something, US FDA drug labels. Where we have the exact quote, the answer shows it under "Where this comes from", with the link and the date it was checked. Each medication also links to our full cited guide when there is one.
